Prior to Coloring:- Perform a skin allergy test on yourself. To do this, clean a small area (quarter size) around the bend of your elbow. With a plastic utensil, mix dab of formula while applying a small amount to your skin.
- Do not wash this area for at least 2 days to see if a reaction occurs. If there is a reaction such as redness or irritation, call a doctor before applying color to the hair.
- Now do a strand test which involves applying color to a small section of hair. Do this before you color your entire head of hair! This is so you can get an idea of how long to keep the formula on you hair while achieving the color you're looking for. It will also provide a pretty good preview of what your hair is going to look like!
